Today’s excursion will not let us close our eyes, with its magnificent landscapes and its great and spectacular waterfalls, more than 100m high, just spectacular

Day 6

We have all day to enjoy the desert dunes.

We will know the desert and its dunes, we will enjoy the company of the nomads, the gnaua music and its culture, our little Dakar, the sunset, the bonfire in the middle of the desert to the sound of the Berber drums.

Day 9

The middle Atlas, the cedar forest, the city of Ifrene and the imperial city of Fez will mark this day.

In this enchanted city we will know all the possible shades of blue, its streets will relax us with its colors and its fresh and clean air that characterizes this beautiful city

First contact with the red city.

.We come to pick up the airport at the time your flight arrives and we accompany you to your riad and we know the city of Marrakech.

To cross the old city, the new city and the Medina, will remain in your memory forever.

One of the 4 imperial cities of Morocco. We will visit the city with a local guide, Marrakech is famous for possessing numerous monuments recognized as World Heritage, and its well-known Jemaa el Fna square. You can visit its different and characteristic neighborhoods, the modern city: Guéliz, Hivernage, Palmeraie, Mellah (the Jewish quarter) … or let yourself be carried away by the sinuous streets of the Medina, until the Jmaa el Fna square, scene of a myriad of activities outdoors: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, snake charmers, minstrels … that awaken all your senses, with its multiple sounds, aromas, flavors and colors that characterize it

.After breakfast we go to the famous waterfalls of Ouzoud, 111 meters high, are located in the great Atlas, in the province of Azilal. They are one of the most beautiful in Morocco, and in North Africa. They are surrounded by idyllic landscapes, and unspeakable colors, where we can also have a fun time playing with the monkeys that inhabit these places. After this pleasant excursion we return to the city of Marrakech

Oasis, palm trees, mountains, canyons, waterfalls, is the gift of this day.

After breakfast we will leave Marrakech towards Dades Gorges through a route known as “The route of the thousand kasbahs”. We will cross the tizi n’Tichka pass through the High Atlas, its altitude is 2260 m, opening its way among numerous Berber nomadic peoples that live in the mountains. Spectacular landscapes that will take us to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for being the scene of more than twenty films, such as “Babel”, “Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia” … We will visit the impressive fortified town, where we can contemplate the numerous craft shops (painting with spices, jewelry, carpets). We will continue towards Ouarzazate crossing the valley of Roses, to enter the Gorges of Dadés, valley that houses the maximum concentration of kasbahs and its spectacular rock formations. We will spend the night in a typical Riad in this area.

The magical desert, have you ever seen a mirage? Today you are going to see it.

.After having breakfast. We head to the Gorges of Todra, north of Tinghir, where we will visit the imposing Todra canyon with walls of more than 300 meters, on the way to the desert we will enjoy the palm grove of Tafilalet that leads us to the town of Erfoud, old gate of the desert, today famous for working with the fossils that are extracted in this region. We arrive at the desert of Merzouga where we will leave our vehicle to ride dromedary to the heart of the dunes of the desert to contemplate the beautiful sunset. Sheltered by the Great Dune enjoying the music of the drums, dinner and Moroccan tea, you can contemplate the immense sky of stars and sleep in nomadic tents.

We have all day to enjoy the desert dunes.

After contemplating the wonderful sunrise and our breakfast, we will ride the dromedaries to return to our vehicle, to start our route through the desert of Merzouga, transiting the tracks of the old Paris – Dakar. Among the numerous stops that await us, we will discover how and where the nomads of the area live and we will share a tea with a nomadic family, spectacular landscapes, small villages and desert settlements, palm groves … Inevitable stop as we pass through the town of Khamelia, people from black Africa. They will make us enjoy their traditional music, with a nice concert of gnawa music, while we taste a delicious tea, and where we will also eat a typical food of the region. We closed the circuit that surrounds the dunes, making a stop in the village of Hassi Lbied, to take a pleasant walk in the shade of the palm grove, which supplies the population. In this space you can see a perfect example of irrigation through ditches and water conduction with the Khetarra system. Then we will return to our Hotel to relax before dinner.

Discovering all the facets of the Desert

After breakfast we will start our journey, our first stop will be in Rissani, we will walk through the largest market in southern Morocco known for its wide variety of products, among which we will find donkeys, goats, cows … We continue via Erfoud, and cross the impressive Ziz Valley where we will walk through the immense palm grove with more than 20 kilometers in length, and with more than 18,000 palm trees. We continue the road later until we reach the city of Midelt apples where we will have dinner and spend the night.

.After our breakfast, we start our way to the Middle Atlas through the forest of Cedros where we can see the millenary cedar gouraud, cedar which is considered the largest in the region, and is framed in an impressive and splendid cedar forest , reaching some of its specimens 30 meters high (centenary and millenarian cedars) The forest itself is one of the natural treasures of the country, causing the visitor a feeling of disbelief and strangeness in which you feel like moving to a really wonderful story. We will also know the city of Ifrane (the Moroccan Switzerland) before arriving in Fez, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

After our breakfast we go to the blue city, Chefchaouen, charming little town that is at the foothills of the Tisouka and Megou mountains, of the Cordillera del Rif, which rise above the town like two horns, thus giving name to the city (Chefchaouen in Berber means: “look at the horns”) City with very little vehicle traffic, where you can breathe a clean and fresh air that invites you to stay to discover the beauty of the place and its surroundings, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

The way back to Marrakech is characterized by its green colors, which give the landscape.

 After breakfast, we will return to Marrakech along the way to enjoy the green landscapes that characterize the way back to our Riad.
